Why we need your help

Project Butterfly will cost £3.4million. We’ve already secured project funding of £1.5million but we still need to find a massive £1.9million over the next 12 months. That’s why your help is so vital.

Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother officially
opens the hospice in 1978

Because the current hospice was built more than 30 years ago, its ageing facilities do not reflect the high quality care provided. The in-patient wards have not been updated since the hospice first opened in 1976.

The hospice’s limitations are affecting our patients’ comfort and privacy. The windows all need to be replaced and there are not enough single rooms in the hospice to accommodate the clinical needs and expectations of today’s patients.

With your help we will redevelop the Marie Curie Hospice, Hampstead to improve the quality of life and meet the palliative care needs of patients and their families in North and North West London.

It will vastly improve facilities for the community and will result in greater access to better services in a more appropriate environment.
