They have already raised £600 with two street collections, while each member of staff has donated a day’s salary to the appeal.

They have also all registered with the fundraising website www.easyfundraising.org.uk.

Managing Director David Pollock has also pledged to match donations pound for pound up to £10,000.

David said: "I cannot think of a more local, more relevant, more deserving charity to work with in 2008.

“I've visited the Hampstead Hospice and have so much respect for the outlook of the patients and the level of care provided.

“Greene & Co are very proud and excited to be working with Marie Curie and hope to raise lots and lots of money for this important project.”

Their next fundraising event will be a charity cricket match against Hornsey Cricket Club on Sunday July 13.

It will take place at Hornsey Cricket Club in Crouch End – the day will commence at 12.00pm, with the cricket match set to start at 2.00pm.
